LEAP BC’s Move family resource

January 7, 2013 No Comments »

The Move Family Resource promotes physical activity, early literacy, and healthy eating for children from birth to age three. It offers more than 40 activities directed at infants (birth–12 months) and toddlers (1–3 years). By using this resource as a guide, and by giving your child an early start in activities that target movement, communication, and healthy eating, you’ll help them reach their developmental potential.

Each activity outlines how it benefits the child. The directions include necessary equipment, location, safety tips, and notes on additional resources – all in an easy-to-follow format. Activities vary for both infants and toddlers, and most include elements that engage multiple developmental areas at once.

LEAP BCTM was created by 2010 Legacies Now, with support from the Province of B.C., to help foster healthy child development.
