January 7, 2013 No Comments »

PHE Canada has been our country’s premier professional organization for physical and health educators for 80 years. Its members are predominantly educators and administrators involved in the school system, training and researching in physical and health education.

This video explains the connection between physical education, physical literacy, and community sport participation. It also shows how teachers, school administrators, school boards, and parents can all play a role in supporting physical literacy. You’ll see how physical literacy is fostered within the school setting and beyond, and why it’s so important for lifelong healthy living.

This video was produced by PHE Canada, with the financial support of Sport Canada.
