The Active Start program from the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence

January 7, 2013 No Comments »

The Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence (PISE) is a leader in development, innovative programming, education, and research involving high performance sport.  PISE benefits athletes, coaches, students, and the wider Victoria community through its personnel and facilities.

The Active Start program targets children up to the age of 6 years. Through a variety of activities and games, children develop fundamental movement skills. Age-appropriate equipment will help them engage with the exercises and work on such skills as coordination. A warm-up prepares children for the session while the cool-down gives them an opportunity to stretch their muscles.

PISE is a partnership initiative of Camosun College, the Canadian Sport Institute, and PacificSport Victoria.
