Get out and celebrate Sports Day in Canada!
This Saturday, November 30 is Sports Day in Canada!
An initiative supported by CBC, Participaction, RBC, and True Sport, Sports Day is a chance to get out and play just for the love of it.
CBC sports reporter Scott Russell covered the RBC Sports Day kickoff at Hamilton’s Westmount Recreation Centre.
Join communities, schools, and sport organizations in your neighbourhood in celebrating the positive power of sport.
From “Hit, run, throw” events held by Coquitlam, B.C.’s Little League to “Learn to curl” sessions at the Windsor Curling Club in Windsor, Nova Scotia. From a free public skate at the Red Knight Arena in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to the free “Try-It Sports Day” at the Brampton Soccer Centre, where children and youth 4-18 can sample 17 different sport activities.
If you live in Calgary, you can even take in the Alberta Quidditch Games and try the sport out for yourself.
