Role Model hangout: Olympic athletes answer questions from Active for Life readers
Active for Life senior editor Jim Grove recently hosted a Google Hangout with two members of the Canadian Olympic team, Dorothy Yeats (wrestling) and Antoine Valois-Fortier (judo). The athletes took some time to chat with us between training sessions before making the trek to sunny Brazil to compete in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
We also invited two of our parent Role Models, Sherrie Mae Guthrie and Puneeta Chhitwal-Varma, to help us ask questions, many of which came from you and your children. In fact, some of the most poignant, inspiring, and sometimes outright funny answers were in response to the questions from kids.
It’s always more fun to cheer on people you feel like you know, so grab a comfy seat and hang out with us. By the end your kids will feel like they have friends heading to Rio and it will make watching their events even more exciting!
