Jennifer Fraser has a PhD in comparative literature from the University of Toronto. She is an award-winning educator and her books focus on how brains learn. In 2015, her Teaching Bullies: Zero Tolerance on the Court or in the Classroom went to number one on Amazon in the sport psychology category. Barbara Coloroso said her "focus on coaches and teachers was an important contribution to the field.” Joe Ehrmann said it was a "must read." In 2022, her The Bullied Brain: Heal Your Scars and Restore Your Health was endorsed by one of the world's most highly awarded neuroscientists Dr. Michael Merzenich as "THE most completely scientifically thorough treatment of the subject on planet earth." She has presented to the North American Society for the Sociology of Sport, National Alliance of Youth Sports, Ontario Coaching Association, Sport for Life, and two parliamentary committees on abuse in sport. She was special advisor to the Office of Sport Integrity Commissioner and was asked to address the Future of Sport in Canada Commission. Jennifer was asked to write an article on abuse in sport for the Sport Information Resource Centre in 2024: “Bullying Does Not Provide a Competitive Advantage, It Just Harms Brains.” She was also asked to write the child safeguarding guidelines for Spirit North, which empowers Indigenous youth through sport. She writes a regular series entitled "The Bullied Brain" for Psychology Today. Her new book The Gaslit Brain was published in November 2025.
