RBC Sports Day in Canada provides something for everyone
Canada is a hockey nation, a lacrosse nation, and everything in between. The diversity of our seasons and landscape make it possible to enjoy a multitude of sports all year long. To celebrate our country and our love of sport, RBC Sports Day in Canada, presented by ParticipACTION, CBC, and True Sport, will take place on November 21, 2015.
From Prince George, B.C. to Cormack, NL and north to Sanikiluaq, NU, Canadians will be celebrating the power of sport in communities across our great country. Events like local ball hockey tournaments, free surf lessons, and “Learn To Curl” provide opportunities to move for people of all ages.
In the week leading up to RBC Sports Day, local organizations and schools will host community-wide festivals, try-it days, and fun events to showcase local and grassroots sports in Canada. On Friday, November 20, the eve of RBC Sports Day, Canadians are encouraged to wear their favourite jersey or team uniform to school, work, or play. National Jersey Day, as envisioned by the organizers, is a day to support sport at every level and in every community.
