Help your kids learn to love to move with our parent promise
Editor’s note: this article was originally published on October 14, 2015.
Dear kids,
We’re going to make some changes in our family. When I was a kid I played outside all the time and learned how to do fun stuff like running, jumping, and throwing a ball. Today things are different and you don’t get as much of a chance to play like I did. So I promise to help you be active and learn to love moving your body because I want you to grow up to be a healthy, active adult. We’re going to do this together. Here’s how:
- We’ll make time for daily outdoor play
- We’ll enjoy being active as a family
- We’ll be active role models
I am so committed to this promise to you that I am ready to tell the world and encourage them to do the same for their children.
