Meet Maxence Parrot, snowboarder

Maxence Parrot is a snowboarder from Quebec. PyeongChang will be his second Olympic Games as he also represented Canada in 2014 in Sochi. His father, Alain, was a ski racer and a water ski champion. Maxence has been competing since 2013 and has won four golds and four silvers at the Winter X Games.

• He has been skiing since he was 2 years old and starting snowboarding at 9 years old.
• He bought his first snowboard with money he earned mowing lawns for an entire summer.
• His nickname is “Garcon” or “The Kid.”
