Warming up to watch the World Cup final match

Well, the World Cup soccer tournament is coming to a close. Teams from around the world have been playing in Brazil since June 12, and the winner of the FIFA World Cup Trophy will be awarded on Sunday in Rio de Janeiro.

Will it be Argentina? Or Germany? The World Cup has been packed with amazing and incredible stories, so it’s reasonable to expect there are more yet to be told.

We’ve been in awe of the soccer talent on display in Brazil, but the summer of soccer doesn’t end here. Next up is the U-20 Women’s World Cup, which is being hosted by Canada. Games start on August 5 and will be played in Edmonton, Moncton, Montreal, and Toronto.

And we’ll have more stories about soccer, too, including suggestions on how to give your kids the best start in soccer. And we’ll bring you an interview with Kara Lang, the first Official Ambassador for next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada. Kara played for Canada more than 90 times, starting in 2002 at age 15, when she won a silver medal with Canada in the tournament that is now known as the U-20 Women’s World Cup.
